Platelet Rich Plasma

Regenerative medicine utilizes a variety of stem cells, including bone marrow, mesenchymal stem cells and platelet rich plasma. These cells help to heal areas that do not normally heal. It is not yet absolutely clear how these stem cells participate in healing processes. For a long time it was assumed that stem cells simply replace the damaged cells. This seems to be the case to some extent, but in recent years, research has shown that stem cells more often stimulate the healing of the damaged tissue rather than replacing it completely. The adult stem cells discharge messengers that stimulate both, damaged and healthy cells, thus strengthening the whole tissue and therefore offer an important treatment option in orthopedics

The ACR-C Classic Kit is specifically designed to intra-operatively prepare Autologous Platelet Rich Plasma by centrifugation of patient’s peripheral blood in a special vacuum tube using a thixotropic gel for cell separation. The system is simple to use, works in a closed system and produces 4 to 5 ml of Platelet Rich Plasma from 9 ml of venous blood in less than 10 minutes.
